Rachel Barry
Hi friends, Rachel here. I joined A.O.E. in the fall of 2016 and I have held a few positions over the years. I am currently a co-op student at an electrical power distribution engineering firm here in Kelowna and I'll be back for the second half of my fourth year of electrical engineering in January. Beyond school, I'll make any excuse to go snowboarding and I'll never turn down breakfast food any time of the day.
Kaila Spencer
Hey! I’m Kaila, the president of our chapter for this school year and I’m entering my final year of Civil Engineering. I joined A.O.E. in the fall of 2015, and since then have held a number of positions throughout the years, so feel free to ask me anything! I’m originally from Delta, B.C., which is where my parents, brother, and very adorable dog still live (I will likely show everyone pictures of her any chance I get). The rest of my sisters would likely call me outgoing, cheerful, and supportive. When I’m not buried in my studies, my hobbies include dance, reading, and practicing Karate.

Sarah McKinnel
Heyo! My name's Sarah, and I'm heading into my 2nd year of Electrical Engineering! I'm actually in my third year of studies though, and I joined A.O.E. because of the message of creating a supportive network! I'm also taking a Computer Science minor, and when I'm not doing schoolwork/ on campus, you'll probably find that I'm sewing! I love a bunch of different arts & crafts things, but I mostly use them for Cosplay!
Emily Petriew
Hey everyone! My name is Emily and I am going into my second year of engineering, specializing in mechanical. My dream job is to work in the aerospace industry but my lifelong goal is to own a dog and two cats. I'm originally Saskatchewan born and raised (go Riders!) but came to Kelowna for a change in scenery. I joined A.O.E. in 2018 and am super pumped to be Membership Educator #2 for this year! I can be described as an extroverted introvert who loves music and owns too many bunnyhugs. In my spare time you can find me hanging out with friends on campus.

Kierra Larocque Karsten
I’m Kierra Larocque Karsten. I’m going into second year Civil Engineering with my eyes set on going into residential development. I joined AOE in 2018 and am now the Chair of the Scholastics Committee. People say I’m a little shy at first, but once you get to know me I’m very bubbly and probably a little weird. Outside of school, I like watching anime, singing, and doing crafts.
Shalynn Lee
My name is Shalynn and I am one of the membership educators this year! Heading into my second year, with a passion for calculus and electromagnetism, I hope to major in electrical engineering and work as an avionics engineer! Being a competitive swimmer for 9 years, I have a great passion for sports and the outdoors which includes playing volleyball, soccer, going on hikes, and biking around the city. People would describe me as a loyal and approachable friend and a hardworking student. I look forward to having another great year with A.O.E. and excited to meet our new sisters!

Siera Zandvliet
Hello! My name is Siera and I'm going into my second year of civil engineering. My end goal is a career as a structural engineer. I became a sister of A.O.E. in 2018 and am this year's secretary for the sorority. I am a born and raised local of Kelowna but I'm horrible at directions and still barely know where anything is. My friends would probably describe me as decently funny, generally organized, easy to talk to and a little sarcastic. I have a stationary and planner addiction that I call my creative outlet. Outside of school I live for the ski season and practice the martial art of Taekwondo.

Jordan McGill
Hi! I'm Jordan and I became and A.O.E. sister in 2017 and the sisterhood committee chair for this year! I'm currently a third year student transferring from engineering into management, and I am wanting to go into Project Management once I graduate. My hometown is right here in the Okanagan! I'm a bit quiet when you first meet me, but afterwards I apologize because I may talk your ear off. Some of my other interests include reading, writing and just hanging out around town with my friends.

Samantha Wells
Hey there! My name is Sam and I'm going into my third year of mechanical engineering. I'm hoping to one day end up in the field of aerospace or forensic engineering. I joined A.O.E. in my first year here, and was chair of the scholastics committee and one of two Membership Educators last year. I'm from Fort McMurray, AB, and still find Kelowna far too hot for me. I'm also involved in a number of engineering student organizations, so come talk to me if you want to hear all about cool opportunities with those! In my free time I love going skiing, playing video games, and reading as much as I can.
Bryna Lee
Hey! My name is Bryna Lee and I'm going into my third year of biochemistry specializing in medical molecular biology. I dream of becoming a doctor someday. I became a sister of A.O.E in 2018. Carly Tremblay
Hola friends! I’m Carly Tremblay. I’m going into my third year in civil engineering and will hopefully one day do something to help the environment. I have been with A.O.E. since 2017 and love having such amazing girls by my side! I am a nice, silly and compassionate person who loves to help out. 😄

Cam McCrystal
Hey y’all! My name is Camryn and I am a second year Nursing student with a huge passion in the field of pediatrics and mental health. I became a sister of A.O.E. in 2018 and have already made so many memories with my sisters. I was born and raised in Saskatchewan and will always be a prairie girl at heart, but I decided I wanted a taste of that big mountain life dream. I moved away from home right out of high school to pursue my post secondary education here in Kelowna. The sorority would likely describe me as incredibly loud, a master of quoting the office, fun, and a little crazy, but I’m always someone you can count on. Outside of my passion of Nursing you can find me watching movies, traveling, going on adventures with my friends, or crafting to keep me sane. HUGS!
Holly Denby
Hi friends! My name is Holly and I am in my fifth (and hopefully final) year of electrical engineering. I am originally from Surrey, BC but love living in Kelowna throughout the school year. I joined A.O.E. in my second year in 2016. Throughout my involvement I've been a Membership Educator and chair of the risk reduction committee. People would describe me as outgoing, driven and compassionate. Outside of school I love getting involved in campus extra-curriculars and spending time with my friends.

Iroegbu

Natasha Mudie
Hey there, I'm Natasha! I'm a third year civil engineering student from Kelowna who hopes to work in the environmental industry. I joined A.O.E. in my first year, 2017, and have enjoyed getting to know so many wonderful people as a result. I've previously held positions such as Treasurer, Fundraising Chair and Philanthropy Chair, and am a proud member of the Iroegbu family. I'm also involved with UBCO's chapter of Engineers Without Borders (shameless plug: join us, we need fresh blood). I'm typically an easy-going person who loves to crack jokes, though often at the worst times. I enjoy music and art (both making and consuming), as well as hiking, reading, video games, and sleep.
Aisha Ayorinde
Hey there! My name is Aisha and I’m going into my fourth year of a civil engineering degree. I joined A.O.E in 2018 and I’m the Risk Reduction Chair (apparently I need to take fewer risks lol). I was born in Nigeria, then moved to Dubai, then Calgary before coming to school in Kelowna and I still find Canada so chilly! I have been described as spontaneous, unpredictable, easygoing and only mildly insane. During my spare time, I love going out, meeting new people, and knitting.

Hey! My name is Emily B. and I am going into my third year of Zoology. In the future, I want to become a field zoologist. I have been a part of A.O.E since 2018. Paula Aguirre
Heyy! I'm Paula a second year science student majoring in microbiology and minoring in psychology. I'm pretty passionate about volunteering and putting smiles on people's faces! Along with the amazing Emily B, I'm one half of the A.O.E philanthropy committee co chair for this year. Other than becoming an A.O.E sister in 2018, I'm also part of the emergency first response team here on campus and volunteer with UBCO's S.A.R.A.. Crafting and poetry are things that make my heart super happy along with winter! As the snow is just so magical to me, along with the fact that you get to ski and skate outdoors. Most people describe me as kind, bubbly and creative.
